Diana Myers to Lead the YWCO as New Chief Executive Officer

We are excited to share an important moment in the story of the YWCO with you. Effective Monday, September 28, 2026, Diana Myers will become the YWCO’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Diana has already been an important part of our YWCO community, and we are excited to welcome her into this new leadership role. Since joining the YWCO in 2025 as Director of Fund Development and most recently serving as Senior Director of Community Programs, Diana has become deeply connected to many areas of our organization, including fundraising, youth programming, aquatics, grants, partnerships, communications, operations, and organizational development.

Diana brings more than two decades of experience working across youth development, aquatics, public health, nonprofit leadership, fundraising, community engagement, and organizational development. Her career began in aquatics and youth-serving environments, where she grew from lifeguarding and swim instruction into management and program leadership. Her own experiences growing up in Girl Scouts and camp also helped shape her belief in the power of community programs to build confidence, connection, independence, and belonging.

Prior to joining the YWCO, Diana spent more than six years with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), where she advanced from Nutrition Health Educator to Nutrition & Physical Activity Supervisor. During that time, she helped lead statewide initiatives focused on nutrition, physical activity, Farm to Early Care and Education, and Two-Generation initiatives. Her work included developing partnerships, strategic planning, grant development and oversight, and collaboration across agencies. She also led and wrote more than $500,000 in federal grants and represented Georgia’s work nationally in Washington, D.C.

Throughout her career, Diana has focused on bringing people and organizations together around shared goals. Her leadership is rooted in listening, inclusivity, authenticity, and integrity, with a strong emphasis on building trust, developing people and teams, and creating environments where people feel heard, valued, and connected.

That spirit of connection is especially meaningful to the YWCO. For 120 years, this organization has been a place where generations of people have come together to find community, build confidence, stay active, grow, and serve others. We are excited to have Diana help carry that legacy forward while looking toward the future and the opportunities ahead for the YWCO.

Diana holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Georgia State University. She and her husband live in Athens with their 17-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, gardening, being active, playing card and board games, spending time with her family, and being near the water.
