The YWCO Summer Day Camp is now accepting children who have completed Pre-K through children who have finished 6th grade.

Enjoy daily swimming, music, skits, games, arts and crafts, plus weekly field trips at the YWCO Day Camp.
Day Camp is held at the YWCO Ann Florence Activity Center, 562 Research Drive, Athens, Ga. Camp is open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with free extended care until 6:00p.m. Monday - Friday. The facility is air-condtioned. Camp begins the week of May 24-28.
Camp Director: Joey Echols - physical education teacher at Malcom Bridge Elementary School.
Associate Directors: Norma Soni - 5th grade teacher at Malcom Bridge Elementary School, and Jessie Pollet, YWCO After School Director at Oconee Elementary School.
All counselors are college age and go through extensive training prior to the beginning of camp.
The weekly fee for Day Camp is$ 110 There is a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $45 for each child. Discounts for siblings are available. There are addtional fees for out of town field trips.
2010 Field Trips include Build-A-Bear Workshop, Atlanta Zoo, Lake Lanier Islands Water Park and Funopolis.
Camp provides an afternoon snack, but campers must bring a sack lunch each day.
Campers need to bring a swim suit and towel each day for swimming. New campers are given a swim test on Mondays. Based upon that test, campers will be placed in specific parts of the pool. Swim lessons are available for an additional fee.
